The man, as a pilgrim, in a “vision guessed by the author, sleeping, from Jerusalem, and who saw in a beautiful grand mirror, those who lived there and those wanted to live there”. Reason, Nature, Grace of God, Penitence, Charity, Idleness, Anger and many other characters, whose name will make us think of their voice.
Even other characters, such as “Gormandez” who introduces himself to the pilgrim, asking him: “As ty oydo dezir jamas de los epicurios, save que yo soy su madre”.
One has to take into account that the book has another reading, the one of the many xylographic printings which accompanies the text.
