The Great Hours of Rouen is a Christian prayer book printed by Antoine Vérard in Paris in the early sixteenth century with hundreds of small woodcuts assembled on all the pages to create lavishly decorated and historiated borders and larger woodcuts introducing major textual divisions. These are attributed to Pierre Le Rouge. In the splendid copy printed on parchment in the Leber Collection in Rouen, hundreds of initials have been painted by hand, and the prints are exquisitely hand colored.
