The Sicilian engraver and Giuseppe Vasi published the ten-volume Delle Magnificenze di Roma from 1747 to 1760. Each volume focuses on a particular aspect of Rome, such as gates and walls, parish churches, or bridges over the Tiber River. The series includes more than 200 full-page engravings of Rome as seen in the mid-eighteenth century and thirty-five in-text illustrations, most of which are signed by Vasi and list him as draftsman and engraver. Vasi is most likely the author of the texts as well, except the first and second volumes.
