The Correspondence of Alcuin manuscript comprises letters and writings of Alcuin of York, the leading theologian, scholar, and reformist at the court of Emperor Charlemagn. It was most likely compiled by Arn, Archbishop of Salzburg, who was Alcuin's student. The text, copied at the Benedictine monastery of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux at the end of the eighth century, is minimally decorated with large capital letters. The manuscript includes copies of letters addressed to Alcuin from Charlemagne. The guides to Greek and runic letters have attracted much scholarly attention (fols. 19-20).
